Raymond E. White rites Monday. Raymond E. White, 88 of Seymour R6 died at 5:15 a.m. Thursday at Community Care Center, Seymor. He had been in failing health for three years. A retired farmer, he was a member of Honeytown Christian Church. He was a lifelong resident of Jackson County.
Born May 30, 1903, in Jackson County, he was the son of John and Anna Altemeyer White. He married Martha A. Hehman on Sept. 21, 1927 in Seymour. She died March 4, 1986. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Arnold (Betty) Rotert, Seymour; Mrs. Donald (Mary) Thomas, Logansport; and Barbara Lawson, Greer, S.C.; a sister, Mrs. John (Nellie) Stockelman, Seymour; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, and two grandsons. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Voss and Sons Funeral Chapel, Seymour. Ed Fryman will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Seymour. Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 8:30 a.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Honeytown Christian Church. |
