Ancestry From Liguria, Italy

Liguria, Italy

My Grandmother,
Louisa Elizabeth Lagomarsino, was born in the US on March 17, 1884, to parents (my Great Great Grandparents), Giovanni Lagomarsino and Maria Soracco, who had immigrated sometime before, from Liguria. Louisa's family later took in a young boy as a boarder, Luigi Capurro, who had also come from Liguria.

Luigi had come to America from Neirone, Provincia di Genova, Regione Liguria, Italia, travelling alone, on a steamship from Genoa. He'd arrived May 9, 1893 at age 15 having been born to parents Carlo Capurro and Caterina Perazzo on October 17, 1877.

After boarding with her family for some years, Louisa Elizabeth Lagomarsino and Luigi Capurro were married April 21, 1906 in City Hall, in the Borough of Manhattan, in New York City, NY. They identified 58 Roosevelt Street (in Manhattan, near the Brooklyn Bridge), where probably Louisa's parents also lived.
