Soldiers and Sailors Home in Bath, NY

Early twentieth century post cards of the National Military Home in Bath, NY

About 1910

Bath, NY

My Great Grandfather, Patrick Monahan, was first admitted to this facility 30 Mar 1897, and died in this hospital on 20 Jan 1920, though his stay was not continuous.

Since these postcards were likely made during the same time period (between 1900 and 1920), this is likely what the facility looked like at that time. These postcards were loaned to me by my neighbor, William Blake, from his very extensive turn-of-the-century post card collection.
