NICKLAS, Edgar Rudolph & Family

Edgar Rudolph Nicklas & Some of His Family

About 1910

I don't really know all these people are, but we do recognize Edgar Rudolph Nicklas in the front row. It's possible that this is a picture of some or all or his siblings, or children, and perhaps some spouses. Though we don't know exactly when this picture was taken, I'll estimate it to be about 1910, since we do have a photograph of him which is dated 1921, and he appears somewhat younger here, perhaps age 55.

If siblings, relative to Edgar (born in 1855), his sister Henrietta was 3 years older, sister Anna was 2 years older, brother William was 3 years younger, and brother John was 6 years younger. If any spouses, Edgars wife Anna was 2 years older. Henrietta's husband David Rilyea was 10 years older. Anna's husband Samuel Chichester was the same age as Edgar.

If children, in 1910, Ernest would be 31 (his wife Catherine would be 27), William would be 28 (his wife Jessica would be 23 - they were married in 1913), Louella would be 25, Gertrude would be 22, Mildred 19, and Christina 15.

Hence, at this time, they are:

Back row: Unknown, Unknown, Anna (Miller) Nicklas, Unknown, Unknown

Front Row: Unknown, Edgar Rudolph Nicklas, Unknown, Unknown
